Sylvanus Farm

InternsInternships at Sylvanus Farm offer a unique opportunity to live life on a CSA farm for an entire growing season.

Interns learn about all facets of commercial growing using sustainable, organic, small scale methods while living on 50 beautiful acres beside the Cumberland river.

Interns gain experience in animal husbandry, soil management, produce harvest and packaging and
many other skills.

They receive housing, food, and a small stipend during
their stay on the farm.

As a member of the Kentucky Chapter of CRAFT (Collaborative Regional Association for Farmer Training),
Sylvanus Farm hosts annual lectures and open farm days for farmers and their interns from elsewhere in the state.

Interns are also invited to attend CRAFT events held at other area farms. This allows interns to tour and compare multiple farming operations and learn about farming practices from other skilled farmers.

CRAFT events bring farm interns together to share their experiences and enjoy a unique camaraderie.
